When a honeybee can't sleep

Did you know that 'Melissa' is Greek for 'honeybee?' Did you also know that there are approximately 100,000 hairs on your head? Give or take if you are a blond or brunette? What useless information, right? Sure it's interesting and all, but where is it getting me? Here's the real kicker. If you're reading this, that's where the "useless information hunting" has lead me. I want to sleep. The throbbing, hot, dry, itching behind my eyes is confirming that 100%. Sleeping means putting the day behind me though. I just can't. Something is urging me to try different things. I'm a pretty normal collage girl. I wake up and do my school thing and my friend thing and my job thing and my theatre thing...but somewhere along the way, I just need to stop and say, "Excuse me? I always have the BLT. Do you have something new on the menu?"
So here we are blog. Cool, new and interesting...right? We'll just have to see. This blog starting is just the beginning. I can feel it. Somehow, this little honeybee is going to find some fresh new flower gardens to roam. Things like "glee audition" and "Europe vacation" linger in my future, which could be (ready for cheesy cliché?) a start to a whole new world. I need to start now though. Maybe it's because it's winter and as we all know in winter, a young, healthy honeybee is stuck inside the hive, sipping honey and wishing it were Spring. All I can say is that it's time to spice up my life. And I'm letting you in on any little secrets to happiness I come across along the way. So for now, goodnight.
